HIPS particles, also known as high impact polystyrene particles, are a thermoplastic material composed of a two-phase system consisting of a rubber phase and a continuous polystyrene phase. This material improves the impact resistance of polystyrene through the elasticity of rubber, making it have excellent impact and processing properties, and is widely used in various fields.

The density of HIPS particles is approximately between 1.04-1.06 g/ml, and they appear as white opaque beads or granules. Its oil and water resistance enable it to maintain good performance in various environments, while also being soluble in certain organic solvents such as benzene, toluene, ethyl acetate, dichloroethane, etc. ‌
